The Artist Dan Taylor
Dan Taylor is an artist and illustrator with a varied catalogue of works. His love of cartooning started at school, where he made his friends laugh and his teachers cross! His personalised caricatures started as a side hustle whilst working as a teacher, and is now one of the many creative outputs for Dan. He recently had the opportunity to draw Joe Wickes and his lovely family.
Dan's fine art illustrations have been seen in many publications including: Mail on Sunday, The Guardian, The observer, The BIG ISSUE, Dazed and Confused and many more. One highlight was illustrating a book by Benjamin Zephaniah
As an Artist Dan has had several successful exhibitions of his paintings over the past 25 years and has created bespoke commissioned works for a variety of clients including HSBC and McLaren F1 team principle Zac Brown. Dan's paintings are influenced by impressionism and pop art icons, as well as the environment, music and the people around him. His work blends bold colours, intricate details, and expressive design to create eye-catching, meaningful pieces of art. His bespoke commissions vary from a beloved pet to a family portrait with a difference.

Paintings for sale
Dan is a prolific painter in his spare time. In this gallery there are examples of commissioned work and works for sale. His paintings are mixed media on canvas and are various sizes. His affordability is purposeful, his mantra is simple. "I don't paint to sell, I paint to paint. If they sell. I buy more paint!"
Bespoke commissions
These are a little more personal. After liaising with the clients and collecting as much relevant information about them as possible, Dan will create a contemporary painting full of events, memories and cherished places. An alternative to a family portrait, or a painting inspired by a significant piece of of music.
Illustrations
Dan studied illustration at university and has worked on and off in this field for over 25 years. His combination of painterly strokes and hand drawn observations make for a fresh illustrative style suited to a variety of media.
